TI D’ANSE

This is one of the most picturesque villages along the coast line which actually is built on the beach. It is good setting for tropical pictures, but it brings many dilemmas to the residents. Even though there is an abundance of salt water, there is no way to drill for fresh water. The area is prime for disaster from hurricanes. The people, however, use the sea to their advantage to fish. This gives them a good supply of food for themselves and to sell to others. There is one building that serves as both the school and church. Students in this village receive a vitamin enriched lunch each day at school.
